Hey guys! Over the past few weeks I’ve been trying to get my bowling speed up, but no matter how many nets I bowl, I still get tired too quickly. I stumbled upon this article: https://amourvert.com/articles/the-training-routines-of-elite-fast-bowlers it breaks down what elite bowlers actually do for sprint work, shoulder strength, and recovery. I tried some of the routines mentioned and even after a few sessions I started to feel like my stamina and rhythm were improving. Has anyone here used similar routines or changed their training after reading something like this?

I totally get where you’re coming from! A while back I made the mistake of just bowling and bowling without thinking about conditioning, and my pace would die after a few overs too. Once I added focused sprint work, core strengthening, and proper rest days into my schedule, things changed big time. It’s amazing how much recovery matters — light stretching and good sleep really help your muscles handle repetitive bowling. Having a structured routine makes such a difference compared to just net sessions.

Just popping in to say this is an interesting topic. I’m not a bowler but I like how much thought goes into elite athletes’ training. It’s cool that professionals mix skill with strength and endurance rather than just practicing one thing over and over. Makes me think about how I train in other sports — balancing exercise types and giving your body rest seems key across the board.
